$600,000 Ferrari CRASH Into SHOP

An Italian valet has destroyed a Ferrari worth almost $600,000 after hitting the accelerator instead of the brakes and crashing into a shop

An Italian valet has destroyed a Ferrari worth almost $600,000 after hitting the accelerator instead of the brakes and crashing into a shop. The rare supercar is owned by a Dutch tourist who was staying in Rome to take part in a luxury car rally. Garage parking attendant Roberto Cinti was driving the red Ferrari 599 GTO – which can accelerate from a standing start to 95km/h in three seconds – on Monday when he lost control.

The car careened into a shopfront, smashing the entire front of the vehicle. “I got confused – instead of the brake, I pressed down on the accelerator,” the Corriere della Sera newspaper quoted him as telling police who arrived on the scene. Mr Cinti was taken to hospital where he was treated for shock. The car owner was staying just a few streets away from where the car was being stored
